SHARED SOUNDS Music between the Exit Signs
Nach dem großen Erfolg im vergangenen Jahr findet von 18.-21. Juni zum zweiten Mal das Festival SHARED SOUNDS im RADIALSYSTEM V statt. Vier Tage lang präsentieren außergewöhnliche internationale Musiker Projekte, die Jazz, Weltmusik und Klassik zu einer neuen Art von Kammermusik verbinden. Während 2008 Europa und seine Folk-Traditionen im Mittelpunkt des Festivals standen, öffnet sich SHARED SOUNDS diesmal Einflüssen aus der arabischen Welt.
Auf dem Programm stehen Konzerte mit Jon Balkes Siwan, Amina Alaoui, Kheir-Eddine M’Kachiche und dem Elbipolis-Barockorchester, dem Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, der Cellistin Frances-Marie Uitti und dem Sound Artist Joel Ryan, Dans les arbres, Michael Wollny, Asita Hamidis Bazaar und dem Anouar Brahem Quartet.

“Hello Troll” (Ozella) is nominated for the Norwegian award “Spellemannsprisen” 2008!
Wu Fei Norway premiere! 12. 01. 2009
Wu Fei will play in Oslo in Duo with sax player Rolf-Erik Nystrøm 2nd of April, it will be her first performance in Norway.
She will also play at Vossajazz (solo).
Kongsberg Jazzfestival Musicians Award to Helge Lien 7. 07. 2008
Kongsberg Jazzfestival has awarded piano player Helge Lien with the DnBNor Musicians Award.
Kongsberg Jazzfestival has since 1996 given this award to one outstanding Norwegian musician. The price is provided by the Norwegian bank DnBNor. The musician gets half the prize money at once, the rest is to be used for a prize winner’s concert at the 2009 festival.
This year the jury chose piano player and composer Helge Lien. He has released five widely acclaimed albums with his own trio, has worked the past years with singer Silje Nergaard and has also composed music for a tv series at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK.
Helge Lien is also recognized abroad. He has a wide Japanese audience, and will this fall tour in major European cities.

chiessiproductions proudly presents the music program of “fotografia europea – reggio emilia 2008”!
it will be our first cooperation with the city council of Reggio Emilia, a town in the north of Italy.
Trio O´Trang, Sepiasonic and Vladimir Denissenkov will play 3rd of May 2008 on Piazza Prampolini in the historical center of Reggio Emilia.

Recording
Helge Lien Trio will record the new album on 25th and 26th of February in the legendary Rainbow Studio, Oslo.
It will be the first recording for the German label Ozella music.
