Since the beginning in 1996, New Tango Orquesta have, on five albums and a countless number of international tours up to now, with the composer Per Störby as a leader, explored and developed the concept of “nuevo tango”. With their unique mix of baroque music, tango, free improvisation, minimalism and romantique, they have gained territory all over the world with their special sound. Their focused performances are a complete acoustic, dynamic, and musically masterpiece one should never miss. .

HLT will play on Friday, November 20th @ Pizza Express Jazz Club as part of the London Jazzfestival.

SHARED SOUNDS Music between the Exit Signs

Nach dem großen Erfolg im vergangenen Jahr findet von 18.-21. Juni zum zweiten Mal das Festival SHARED SOUNDS im RADIALSYSTEM V statt. Vier Tage lang präsentieren außergewöhnliche internationale Musiker Projekte, die Jazz, Weltmusik und Klassik zu einer neuen Art von Kammermusik verbinden. Während 2008 Europa und seine Folk-Traditionen im Mittelpunkt des Festivals standen, öffnet sich SHARED SOUNDS diesmal Einflüssen aus der arabischen Welt.

Auf dem Programm stehen Konzerte mit Jon Balkes Siwan, Amina Alaoui, Kheir-Eddine M’Kachiche und dem Elbipolis-Barockorchester, dem Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, der Cellistin Frances-Marie Uitti und dem Sound Artist Joel Ryan, Dans les arbres, Michael Wollny, Asita Hamidis Bazaar und dem Anouar Brahem Quartet.
